Score
The Synology 2-Bay DiskStation DS723+ receives a moderate score due to its advanced features, such as NVMe support and a powerful AMD processor, which enhance performance for storage and multitasking. However, its proprietary component requirements and limited integrated GPU capabilities for transcoding have led to mixed feelings among users, highlighting a need for improved flexibility at a premium price. Overall, while it’s a solid choice for home and small business use, potential buyers should weigh the value against the constraints imposed by Synology's ecosystem.
