The Ruipoo Folding Grappling Hook, particularly the Three Claws version, is made for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy activities like camping, hiking, or climbing. According to the manufacturer's description, it's crafted from high-quality ASTM 1050 and SUS304 stainless steel, so it's built to last and handle tough situations outdoors. Its foldable design makes it easy to carry or tuck away when you're on the move.
Now, about how much weight it can handle: the manufacturer says it can support up to 880 lbs. Our research backs up this claim with lots of folks finding it pretty solid for things like climbing steep hills or trees. That said, it's important to stick to the weight limits because some people have reported breakage when overloading it or using it improperly.
One thing to keep in mind is it doesn't come with a rope. Some people have found this a little inconvenient, so make sure to have a compatible, strong rope on hand. The attachment hole is on the small side, so double-check that your rope fits well to keep everything safe and secure.
The folding feature is generally a hit for being compact, though a few have mentioned it can be a bit tricky to unfold at times.
Even so, with a solid average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon, it's pretty well-rated. Just be sure to use it properly and within its limits, and you'll likely find it's a reliable piece of gear for your adventures.
