ShopSavvy (company)

ShopSavvy helps people find the best price on what they want to buy, and helps businesses work with the same data. Made by Monolith Technologies, Inc., ShopSavvy launched in 2008 as one of the very first apps on both Android and iPhone, has been downloaded more than 40 million times, and today runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, the web, browser extensions and desktop. It is free, sorts results by price, and does not share its users' shopping habits with anyone. For businesses, ShopSavvy offers a product data API, competitor price monitoring, product search, bulk data licensing and a free MCP server for AI assistants.

ShopSavvy app

ShopSavvy is a free price comparison app for iPhone, iPad and Android, with browser extensions and a desktop app. Scan a barcode, search, or open any product to see current prices across retailers, price history and deals, and get an alert when the price drops. ShopSavvy has been comparing prices since 2008 and has 40M+ app downloads since 2008.

ShopSavvy Data API

The ShopSavvy Data API turns a barcode, ASIN, URL or model number into a product record, current prices across tens of thousands of retailers, and price history back to 2011. SDKs cover 10 languages. Plans start at $49 a month for 1,000 credits, with a 14-day trial on Starter.

ShopSavvy for Business

ShopSavvy for Business tracks competitor prices on your products across tens of thousands of retailers that are already built in, so there is no URL list to maintain. Refreshes run hourly to weekly depending on plan, and you get an alert when a price changes. Plans start at $99.99 a month.

ShopSavvy Search API

The ShopSavvy Search API turns a keyword query into matched products with current prices across tens of thousands of retailers. Results stream back as each source responds, every response reports its own timing, and optional generated summaries help users choose. Pricing is by quote, based on volume and features.

ShopSavvy Data Licensing

ShopSavvy Data Licensing delivers US online product records, offers and price history as JSON, CSV or Parquet files. History is dense from 2019, with observations back to 2011, and holds hundreds of millions of price observations. Buy a single retailer or category slice, or license the full catalog annually. No personal data.

ShopSavvy MCP server

The ShopSavvy MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and other MCP clients 15 tools for product lookup, price comparison, price history and buying guides, across tens of millions of products. It works with no signup at 10 tool calls a minute; a Data API key raises that to 100.
