TLDR Review: iRobot Roomba 694
Verdict
The iRobot Roomba 694 Robot Vacuum offers powerful suction and efficient cleaning, especially for homes with pets and various floor types. Its ability to handle daily debris autonomously and support for Alexa make it a convenient choice. However, its performance in completely dark rooms and shorter battery life may require some strategic adjustments. If you need a system that can navigate in the dark, you might explore other options, but overall, this is a solid pick for the price.
- Top pro:
- Excellent navigation and persistent mapping for efficient cleaning.
- Top con:
- Not capable of operating in complete darkness without smart lights.
Score
The iRobot Roomba 694 receives a moderate score due to its effective cleaning performance on hard floors and carpets and ease of use, highlighted by user-friendly app controls and scheduling features. However, it lacks advanced navigation capabilities, leading to frequent obstacles and incomplete cleaning in complex spaces, along with noise concerns and a small dustbin requiring frequent emptying, which may make it less suitable for larger homes or heavy debris scenarios.
