Yep, you can control the iRobot Roomba 694 using a smartphone app.
According to the manufacturer's product description, it's compatible with the iRobot Home app. This lets you do things like schedule cleanings and start or stop sessions right from your phone.
While it doesn't have the advanced mapping of fancier models like the Roomba i7 or s9, you still get plenty of useful features.
The app is pretty easy to use, so you should have no problem getting your Roomba set up and running. It uses a bump-and-clean navigation system and has cliff sensors to avoid stairs, so it should handle most floor types just fine, whether it's carpet or hard floors.
So if you're looking for basic control through your smartphone, the Roomba 694 does the job well.
