The ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium plays nice with a bunch of smart home platforms. Here's the scoop:
Smart Home Compatibility
-
Amazon Alexa: You can use Alexa to change the temperature, set schedules, and control other smart gadgets around your home. Plus, since it has a built-in Alexa speaker, it acts as a mini smart hub.
-
Apple HomeKit/Siri: If you're into Apple products, you can control the thermostat with Siri or use the Apple Home app. It's pretty smooth.
-
Google Assistant: Got Google smart speakers or displays? No problem. This thermostat works with Google Assistant for voice control too.
-
Samsung SmartThings: If you're using SmartThings, you can add the ecobee thermostat to your setup and automate routines with your other smart devices.
-
IFTTT (If This Then That): For those custom tasks, you can use IFTTT to create specific interactions between your ecobee and other smart devices or services.
Additional Features
-
SmartSensors: These sensors help monitor room occupancy and optimize heating/cooling based on where people are. So, you get comfort where you need it and save energy where you don’t.
-
Air Quality Monitoring: It has built-in sensors to keep an eye on indoor air quality. Handy if you or someone in your home has allergies or sensitivities.
-
User-Friendly App: The app makes setup and management pretty easy. You can manage your thermostat, control multiple sensors, and get real-time alerts all from your phone.
Our research highlights that while the air quality sensor isn’t as thorough as standalone devices and the built-in speaker isn't great for music, overall, people find it performs well and is easy to use.
So, if you’re looking for a smart thermostat that works with a lot of different platforms, the ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium is worth checking out.
