The Sony WH-1000XM6 works well with iPhone and Apple devices, though without the seamless AirPods experience.
Compatibility
Standard Bluetooth pairing works with iPhone, iPad, and Mac via:
- Sony Sound Connect app (iOS App Store)
- Standard Bluetooth settings
Audio Quality
iPhone uses the AAC codec, which XM6 fully supports. AAC is Apple's optimized codec and sounds excellent. LDAC is Android-only, but AAC delivers high-quality audio indistinguishable from LDAC for most listeners.
