The ME AND MY GOLF Breaking Ball Putting Mat is a handy way to work on your putting without leaving the house. According to what we've found, it uses weighted golf balls to simulate different levels of break, making your home practice feel a bit more like the real thing on the greens.
You don't even have to mess with the mat to simulate different slopes. Pretty convenient, right?
The manufacturer claims the mat has a stimp speed of around 11, which means it's on par with the speed of professional-level greens. This should give you a pretty smooth and realistic putting experience. There are also markings on the mat that help with alignment and accuracy, which can be great if you're trying to fine-tune your technique with breaking putts.
Plus, this mat is super portable. You can set it up indoors or outdoors without any hassle. It also includes access to training videos from Piers Ward and Andy Proudman, which could come in handy if you're looking for guidance.
That said, it doesn't come cheap. Our research shows that while it's a bit more expensive than some other options, a lot of dedicated golfers find it worth the splurge for the unique practice experience.
Just a heads up, though—while the breaking ball feature adds a twist, it won't perfectly mimic every curve and challenge of real greens.
If you're set on improving your putting accuracy and confidence on both straight and breaking putts, it's definitely worth a look. But if you're concerned about the price, you might consider alternatives like the PuttOUT or WellPutt mats, which are budget-friendly options for indoor practice.
Either way, practicing at home can be both effective and fun!
