Hey! So, the Presto 06852 Electric Skillet is quite a popular gadget, especially if you're after something spacious and versatile. The manufacturer really talks up its 1500-watt cast aluminum base, and it's got a ceramic nonstick surface with high sidewalls.
There's also a tempered glass lid which helps you keep an eye on your food while keeping messes down.
Now, about the evenness of heating—our research shows folks have had mixed experiences. The skillet should, in theory, distribute heat evenly, but some people have noticed that the edges can get hotter than the center. If you're making something where even heat is super important, that's worth considering.
But you could try stirring the food frequently or choose dishes where precise heat isn't a deal-breaker.
There's also mention of rare instances where the glass lid has had issues, but that seems pretty uncommon. If something like that happens, just give Presto a call, and they should help you out with a replacement or fix.
Despite the quirks, a lot of folks really like this skillet for its large cooking area, flexibility, and easy cleanup due to the nonstick surface. It seems like a good go-to for big meals or just when you need a bit of extra cooking space.
So, keep the heat concentration thing in mind, but otherwise, it looks like a solid kitchen addition for many users.
