The Presto 06852 Electric Skillet seems to make clean-up pretty straightforward. From what we've found, the non-stick surface does a great job at preventing food from sticking, so you often only need a damp cloth or sponge to wipe it down after cooking.
If you're looking to do a more thorough clean, you can submerge the base in water after you remove the heat control module. This setup ensures you won't harm the electrical parts. Folks really like this feature since it makes it easy to keep the skillet in top shape without much effort.
As for the glass cover, you can pop it in the dishwasher or wash it by hand, depending on what you prefer. Just a heads up: stick to mild detergents and gentle scrubbing to keep the non-stick surface in good condition.
Our research suggests that people find this skillet pretty durable, with many noticing the non-stick coating holds up well over time if you follow the cleaning tips set out by the manufacturer. Avoid using metal utensils, as they can scratch the surface.
So, if you're after a skillet that won't make clean-up feel like a chore, the Presto 06852 could be a great fit. Its hassle-free maintenance makes it a nice kitchen tool for quick frying or more elaborate meals, giving you more time to enjoy your cooking without worrying about the mess.
