The Presto 06852 16-Inch Electric Skillet gives you a pretty roomy cooking area, with its 16-inch surface being perfect for cooking up meals for a family or even a little get-together.
It's really handy when you're making dishes like stir fry because you can spread everything out nicely, so things cook more evenly without overcrowding.
The skillet's size and tall sides also help with keeping ingredients and juices from spilling over, which is great for keeping flavors in. Plus, you can also use it for different cooking techniques—like frying, grilling, roasting, and simmering—even though its specialty is stir fry.
The temperature control is typically quite reliable, which should help you hit those high temps needed for some recipes.
Just a note, though—our research found that some folks noticed it can heat a bit unevenly, especially in the corners, but stirring a bit more can help even things out.
About its non-stick surface, it's generally well-liked.
Just avoid using aerosol cooking sprays on it, as they can mess up the coating. Instead, spraying oil from a bottle tends to work well.
And cleaning up afterward tends to be a breeze thanks to the non-stick feature, which is always nice.
So, if you're thinking about this skillet, it's a good option if you need something with a decent capacity and flexibility for different cooking styles.
