The PowerBlock Elite EXP Expansion Kit is a great choice if you want to boost the weight capacity of your Elite EXP Dumbbell Set from 50 to 70 pounds per hand. The manufacturer specifically designed it to work with the 5-50 lb Stage 1 Elite EXP Dumbbells, so it offers a convenient option for those looking to step up their strength training without buying an entirely new set.
But before you make a purchase, there are a few things to think about regarding compatibility. Based on our research, some folks have run into issues when trying to fit the expansion kit with older models or those that aren't the Elite EXP version.
Apparently, the expansion plates are taller compared to earlier models like the USA-made Elite, which might cause some fit problems. So, if your dumbbells aren't the specific Elite EXP version, you could face some challenges.
On the plus side, many people find that the expansion kit maintains the PowerBlock's compact design while adding more weight options. However, be aware that some have mentioned receiving the wrong parts or dealing with mismatched pieces, possibly due to manufacturing inconsistencies or shipping mistakes.
It's a good idea to double-check your dumbbell model before buying. If you're unsure, contacting your supplier's customer service or PowerBlock directly is a smart move. They'll help clarify any compatibility concerns and give you peace of mind.
It's best to ensure the expansion kit is a perfect fit to avoid any frustration when enhancing your workout setup!
