Hey, if you're trying to figure out if the PowerBlock Elite EXP Expansion Kit (20 lbs) will work with your current PowerBlock dumbbells, here’s what I found.
First, it's important to know that this specific expansion kit doesn't play nice with the Elite USA models. The main reason is the size difference in the weight plates.
According to our research, the Elite EXP plates are a bit taller than those on the Elite USA models, which could mess up the alignment if you try to mix them.
So, if you've got the Elite USA dumbbells, make sure to double-check before buying. You can measure them yourself, or even better, reach out to PowerBlock directly to see if it’ll be a good fit.
But if you're using the Elite EXP dumbbells, you're in luck! The expansion kit is made to fit the Elite EXP Stage 1 dumbbells, which range from 5-50 lbs, and can bump them up to 70 lbs with this Stage 2 expansion—this is straight from the manufacturer's description.
Just make sure your base model matches up.
I noticed some folks have had a hard time figuring out compatibility, especially when dealing with different models. So, definitely worth double-checking dimensions and all that. Easier to avoid potential headaches that way!
