TLDR Review: LG GP65NB60 DVD-Writer
Verdict
The LG GP65NB60 is a great choice for those needing a portable and easy-to-use DVD writer with good performance. However, if you're looking for a device that can handle BluRays or is compatible with Windows 11, you might need to explore other options. The short USB cable and potentially flimsy build are minor downsides, but for many, its portability and M-DISC support will outweigh these issues.
- Top pro:
- Excellent portability makes it ideal for on-the-go use.
- Top con:
- The USB cable is short, which could be inconvenient for some setups.
Score
The LG GP65NB60 DVD-Writer earns a moderate score due to its impressive portability and compatibility with both Windows and Mac systems, making it a solid choice for users in need of an external drive. However, many customers noted issues with build quality and reliability, particularly on Mac, alongside mixed experiences regarding its performance with scratched discs. Overall, it represents good value for occasional use, but concerns about durability and inconsistent performance may deter more frequent users.
