TLDR Review: KILZ 2 Latex Primer, 1-gallon
Verdict
If you need a versatile, fast-drying primer that blocks stains and odors effectively across multiple surfaces—including walls, ceilings, floors, and exterior siding—KILZ 2 Multi-Surface Latex Primer/Sealer is a solid choice. It's especially strong for covering smoke, pet odors, and mold-prone areas, making it a favorite for renovation and restoration projects. Just keep in mind that achieving full coverage and smell elimination often means applying two to three coats. If you want a primer specifically for heavy smoke or odor problems with faster one-coat coverage, you might also explore specialized primers, but KILZ 2 is a reliable all-around performer worth considering.
