TLDR Review: GRADO SR80x Headphones
Verdict
The GRADO SR80x Prestige Series Wired Open Back Stereo Headphones offer impressive sound quality and comfortable design, making them a solid choice for audiophiles on a budget. However, the non-sealing foam earpads and wired connection might not suit everyone. If you need a high-quality wired headphone with detailed sound and can tolerate some discomfort over long listening sessions, these headphones are a great option at their price point.
- Top pro:
- Excellent sound quality: detailed, articulate, punchy.
- Top con:
- Can cause discomfort after extended use (about 2 hours).
Score
The GRADO SR80x Prestige Series Wired Open Back Stereo Headphones received a balanced score reflecting their impressive sound quality and comfort, particularly suitable for home use, as noted by both professional and customer reviews. Strengths include the detailed soundstage and vibrant audio performance, appealing especially to audiophiles, while consistent concerns around build quality, cable durability, and notable sound leakage suggest these headphones may not meet everyone's expectations for durability and versatility in public settings. Overall, they are regarded as a great value for money, albeit with potential compromises in longevity.
