TLDR Review: Google Pixel 8 5G
Verdict
The Google Pixel 8 5G offers a premium design, powerful performance, and a top-tier camera system enhanced by intuitive Google AI features, making it a solid choice for photography enthusiasts and daily users who want seamless integration with Google services. However, several software and hardware quirks—especially screen flickering, fingerprint sensor unreliability, overheating, and restrictive 5G connectivity limitations—may dampen the overall experience for power users or international travelers. If flawless multitasking and global 5G access are deal-breakers, you might want to consider other recent flagship smartphones, but for those embedded in the Google ecosystem seeking advanced photo capabilities and long-term updates, the Pixel 8 remains a compelling option.
