TLDR Review: Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones - Deep Plum
Verdict
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are an impressive blend of **industry-leading noise cancellation, immersive spatial audio, and premium comfort** perfect for audiophiles, travelers, and anyone serious about sound quality. They justify their luxury price with features tailored for critical listening and long sessions. However, if you want to save some money and don’t need advanced spatial audio or the very latest tech, the Bose QuietComfort 45 remains a solid, more budget-friendly option with very good noise cancellation and comfort. For those seeking immersive audio and the best noise cancellation money can buy, the Ultra is definitely worth considering.
- Top pro:
- Exceptional noise cancellation that effectively blocks out around 90% of ambient sound, outperforming many competitors including AirPods Max in windy or noisy environments.
- Top con:
- The premium price positions these headphones as a luxury item, which might not fit every budget despite the high-quality performance.

Cons

- •The carrying case, while protective and upscale, can be a bit tricky to fit the headphones into without practice.
- •Occasional reports of minor startup delays or difficulties turning the headphones on, which could be resolved with firmware updates.
- •While noise cancellation is excellent, very quiet background sounds like public announcements sometimes still pass through.
- •The immersive audio mode, although impressive, may require adjustment for long-familiar music tracks to avoid an unnatural feel.
- •Ear cups can get slightly warm during extended use, which may impact comfort for some users in hotter environments.
