The Galaxy S25 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with 12GB RAM, making it one of the fastest smartphones available.
Benchmark performance:
- Geekbench 6 multi-core: 9,413 points
- This outperforms iPhone 16 Pro Max (8,387 points)
Real-world performance: Apps open instantly. Animations feel fluid throughout. Multitasking handles heavy workloads without slowdown. Camera processing is quick, even for computational photography.
Extended testing confirms the phone maintains this performance over months without degradation.
Gaming performance: Demanding games like Genshin Impact and Call of Duty Mobile run at maximum settings with stable frame rates. Unlike some previous Android flagships, thermal management keeps the phone comfortable during extended gaming sessions.
Battery efficiency: The 8 Elite contributes to improved battery life. The S25 Ultra gets ~30 minutes more battery than S24 Ultra despite identical 5,000mAh capacity. On-device AI processing runs efficiently.
Future-proofing: This performance is overkill for today's everyday tasks. That headroom ensures the phone stays smooth for years as apps become more demanding, which matters given Samsung's seven-year software support.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the fastest Android phone available. The Snapdragon 8 Elite finally matches (and in some benchmarks beats) Apple's best chips, eliminating the performance gap that historically favored iPhone.
