The Galaxy S25 Ultra features one of the best smartphone displays available with impressive specifications across resolution, brightness, and refresh rate.
Key specifications:
- 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X (up from 6.8")
- QHD+ resolution (3120 x 1440 pixels)
- Adaptive 1Hz-120Hz LTPO refresh rate
- 2600 nits peak brightness
- Corning Gorilla Armor 2 anti-reflective coating
Resolution: At QHD+, individual pixels are invisible during normal use. You can set FHD+ to save battery, though the difference is minimal with Samsung's efficient display technology.
Refresh rate: Intelligently adjusts between 120Hz (scrolling, gaming) and 1Hz (static content) automatically. Smooth experience without managing settings.
Brightness: Exceptional outdoor visibility. Real-world testing shows ~1,417 nits in auto mode, slightly behind iPhone 16 Pro Max's 1,796 nits but still excellent.
Display improvements:
- Thinnest bezels ever on Galaxy S series
- Gorilla Armor 2 significantly reduces glare
- Fixed low-brightness graininess from S24 Ultra
- HDR10+ support with true AMOLED blacks
Color accuracy: Samsung's calibration provides excellent accuracy with multiple display modes for vivid or natural color reproduction.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra display ranks among the best available. Once you get used to this quality, other screens look washed out by comparison.
