The Therm-a-Rest Parsec 20F/-6C Ultralight Down Mummy Sleeping Bag seems like a solid option for backpacking. It's built for three-season use, so it'll cover you from early spring to late fall, which is handy for a variety of trips.
One highlight is its 800-fill Nikwax Hydrophobic Down. The manufacturer says it absorbs way less water and dries quicker than untreated down, which is great if you're heading into damp areas.
Just keep in mind, it's not meant to handle heavy rain on its own—you'd still need a tent or bivvy for that.
From our research, people appreciate its warmth-to-weight ratio—it’s cozy without being bulky. It's rated to keep you comfortable around 0°C (32°F), which works well if you're planning on being out in colder, but not extreme, conditions.
Feedback we found suggests folks are pretty happy using it in cooler weather. For instance, someone mentioned staying warm even when it got below freezing, and another was excited for future trips, which sounds like a thumbs up for its design and functionality.
Overall, if you're after a sleeping bag that keeps you warm, isn't too heavy, and can handle a bit of moisture, the Parsec 20F/-6C might be just the ticket.
Just be sure to pack extra rain protection if you’re expecting a downpour. Enjoy your backpacking adventures!
