Short answer: Yes, the Pixel 10 Pro is great outdoors. Google made the screen really bright this generation.

The numbers:

Peak brightness hits 3,300 nits for HDR content. Up from 3,000 nits on Pixel 9 Pro. In automatic mode on sunny days, around 2,350 nits. Manual maximum is about 1,400 nits.

What matters: reading the screen in direct sunlight isn't a struggle. Previous phones required shading the screen with your hand. The Pixel 10 Pro just works.

Why it works:

Not just raw brightness. Google added an anti-reflective coating that reduces glare. Auto-brightness ramps up quickly when you step outside.
