The HealthSmart Enhanced Comfort 5" Raised Toilet Seat Riser is designed to add comfort and convenience, especially for those who need a bit more height. But keep in mind, this specific riser is only for standard round toilets, not elongated ones. The manufacturer describes its dimensions as 15.7"L x 15.2"W x 6.1"H with a 10.25" x 8" opening, making it fit well on most round toilets and not so much on elongated designs.
From our research, several people have tried using it on elongated toilets but found it doesn’t fit properly and can be unstable. One person mentioned that it slid backward when they tried to sit on it, even though it initially seemed to fit. So, it's really important to stick to the manufacturer's guidelines to avoid any issues.
As for comfort, many folks with round toilets say it definitely makes their bathroom experience more comfortable. The added height helps reduce strain on the knees and hips, making sitting and standing easier. Plus, it's apparently easy to clean and quite durable, which is always a plus.
If you have an elongated toilet, though, you'll need to look for a different riser.
HealthSmart does offer other models, or you might need to check out options from other brands that are made specifically for elongated toilets. Picking the right one is key for both comfort and safety.
