The Carex Toilet Seat Riser adds an extra 3.5 inches to your toilet seat height, which can make sitting down and standing up easier. The manufacturer says it’s designed for elongated toilets and sits under your existing seat. But heads up: it doesn't have handles, which could be a deal-breaker if you need extra support.
From what we've found, some people feel that the lack of handles makes it less stable, especially for those who need more assistance.
So, if handles are crucial for you, you might want to check out other models from Carex that include them. For instance, this Carex model with handles could give you that extra stability.
In the end, the Carex Toilet Seat Riser does its job of raising the seat height effectively, making it more comfortable for folks who have trouble bending down.
Just make sure you think about whether you need those additional support features like handles.
