The Carex Toilet Seat Riser adds 3.5 inches to the height of your toilet, according to the manufacturer's product description. This can really make sitting down and getting up a bit easier, especially if you have mobility issues or are recovering from surgery.

The manufacturer claims it can support up to 300 pounds. But our research suggests that it might not always be reliable for heavier users. A few people noted that the riser showed signs of strain or even cracking when getting close to its maximum weight limit.

For example, one person reported that it started to buckle at around 225 pounds, and another mentioned a crack appearing at 238 pounds.

So, it might be a good idea to consider this riser if you're under 225 pounds to ensure it works well for you. If you're closer to or exceed 300 pounds, you might want to look into other options designed to handle higher weights, like commode chairs or reinforced raised toilet seats.

Overall, the Carex Toilet Seat Riser gives you an extra 3.5 inches of height, but just make sure you're within the recommended weight range to get the best experience.
