The 3M Gel Wrist Rest WR309LE is made to be comfortable and durable, and it seems to be a popular pick for improving your typing setup.
It's 18 inches long, so it should cover your keyboard area pretty well. The manufacturer talks about the gel being just right—not too firm or too soft—and it even has antimicrobial protection, which helps keep germs at bay and might make it last longer.
But, you're probably wondering how long it'll last before showing signs of wear. From our data, most people seem to think it's quite durable. However, some folks who've been using it for a while noticed things like the gel shifting, or in rare cases, leaking. This isn't super common, but it's something to keep in mind if you're planning on heavy use.
The wrist rest has more padding in the center, which is supposed to help with wrist posture. Some users mention it takes a bit of time to get used to that shape. Its leatherette cover looks nice and is easy to clean, which might also help it stay in good shape longer.
And if you do run into any durability issues, it comes with a limited one-year warranty, so there's that safety net.
Overall, if you're balancing different types of typing tasks, this wrist rest could be a comfy and supportive choice. It's generally well-regarded for its comfort and durability, so it might be a good fit for your workspace if you're looking for something reliable.
