Wired Charging

The iPhone 17 Pro Max supports 40W wired charging, nearly double the 25W on iPhone 16 Pro Max. Time to 50% dropped from 35 minutes to 20 minutes.

Requirements: Any USB-C PD charger rated 40W or higher. Apple's 40W Dynamic Power Adapter is optimized for iPhone 17.

MagSafe Wireless

MagSafe now delivers up to 25W with the right setup:

• Apple MagSafe Charger (2024 or newer)
• 30W or higher power adapter

Older MagSafe chargers max out at 15W regardless of adapter wattage.

Qi2 and Qi

Qi2-certified chargers support up to 25W. Standard Qi pads work but are limited to 7.5-15W.
