The Lasko Misto Outdoor Misting Fan can really help cool things down when it's blazing hot outside. According to the manufacturer's description, it can cool the air by up to 25 degrees, and it hooks up easily to a standard garden hose.
As for how far the mist goes, our research shows that it can reach up to 10 feet, possibly more. This distance might change depending on how you set the fan's speed and what the weather's like that day, so keep an eye on how wet things get to avoid any unwanted soggy areas. You might need to do a bit of tweaking to figure out how to get just the right amount of cooling without drenching everything.
Something different about the Lasko Misto is how it handles airflow. Instead of moving from side to side like oscillating fans, it uses internal louvers to spread the air around. You can still adjust it manually up or down to direct the mist where you want it.
It may not be what you're used to if you like the usual side-to-side movement, but it's pretty useful once you get the hang of it.
It's compact and portable too, which makes it great for using outside. Plus, if you're in a dry area, the extra mist could be quite nice without making things too damp.
Overall, just be ready to play around with the settings a bit to see what feels best for your setup!
