The Withings Sleep Tracking Mat does a good job at tracking your overnight sleep. According to the manufacturer's description, it gives you detailed info on your sleep cycles, like REM, light, and deep sleep, plus it monitors heart rate and any breathing disturbances. This is pretty useful if you're trying to get a better handle on your sleep quality at night.
But, it's not great for naps.
Based on our research, the mat seems to struggle with capturing naps accurately. A lot of users mentioned that lounging around during the day sometimes gets recorded as napping. One person even noted that their naps were often tracked inaccurately, which messed with their overall sleep data.
Another review also pointed out that while the mat is great for overnight sleep, it doesn't do well with daytime naps. A professional review echoed these issues, emphasizing that the mat shines at night but falls short during the day.
So, if your main goal is to track your sleep at night, the Withings Sleep Tracking Mat is a good option.
But if keeping tabs on your naps is important to you, you might want to look into other devices designed specifically for short sleep sessions. This mat is best for thorough overnight monitoring, so just keep that in mind.
