📷Just got a Galaxy S26 Ultra and feeling overwhelmed by the camera options? Here's the simple stuff that actually makes a difference.

First: go to Settings > Display and switch to QHD+ resolution. Samsung ships the phone at lower resolution to save battery, but your photos will look much better on-screen at full res. The battery impact is minimal.

For taking photos, just leave it in Photo mode with Scene Optimizer turned on. The AI is genuinely smart. It detects what you're shooting—food, pets, landscapes, whatever—and adjusts automatically. Don't overthink it.

Turn on Shot Suggestions too. It helps with composition, tells you when the horizon is crooked, and suggests better framing. Helpful when you're learning.

Which lens should you use? The 1x main camera (200MP) is your best friend for most shots. It has the largest sensor and produces the best quality. The 0.6x ultrawide is great for fitting more in the frame—landscapes, group shots, architecture. The 3x and 5x telephoto cameras work well for portraits or when you can't get physically closer.
