nullYou can now share files directly between your Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhones. Samsung added cross-platform compatibility with AirDrop.
How it works:
Open the file you want to share on your S26 Ultra. Hit Share and pick Quick Share. Your phone finds nearby devices including iPhones. Tap the iPhone, and the other person accepts. Done.
Required settings:
Your S26 Ultra: Quick Share enabled in Settings > Connected devices > Quick Share. Set to "Everyone nearby" or "Contacts only."
The iPhone: AirDrop enabled in Settings > General > AirDrop. Set to "Everyone" or "Contacts Only." Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on.
iOS version requirement:
Works only with iPhones running iOS 17.2 or newer. Older iPhones won't see your Samsung.
What can you send?
Photos, videos, documents, most normal files. Files arrive through AirDrop on the iPhone and go to the appropriate app.
Some Samsung-specific formats may need conversion. Apple's HEIC photos work fine on Samsung.
Transfer speed:
Fast. Uses Bluetooth for discovery, Wi-Fi Direct for transfer. Large videos move quickly.
Range:
About 30 feet, same as regular AirDrop. Check Galaxy S26 Ultra availability across retailers.
