If you're thinking about getting the White Knight 40400SBLT Blue Wheel Locks to protect your wheels from theft, here's what our research found.
They're designed to fit wheels with a 1/2"-20 thread size, so they're a good fit for vehicles with that need. The manufacturer mentions they use cold-forged carbon steel to make these locks, which means they're pretty tough and should meet or even go beyond standard OEM requirements.
One thing that stands out is how easy they are to install. With dual hex key sockets (19mm & 21mm), you can pop them on using a regular socket wrench—handy if you like doing car stuff yourself. From what we found, a lot of folks appreciate that they can get all four wheels secured in about ten minutes.
As for security, these wheel locks seem to do a good job of deterring theft. But here's a small heads-up: while the locks themselves are sturdy, the paint might not hold up as well. Some people noticed the finish wears off over time, especially if you're using them a lot or if they're exposed to rough weather.
This doesn't hurt the security but could be something to think about if you're big on keeping them looking nice.
Before you buy, just double-check with your vehicle's manual to make sure they'll fit right and work effectively.
Overall, these White Knight locks are reliable for security and easy to install, even if the finish might not stay perfect over time.
