Yep, the BISSELL CrossWave HydroSteam can be used on carpets. It’s pretty versatile and works on different surfaces, like hardwood, tile, and, of course, carpets. The manufacturer lists it as capable of handling multiple floor types, so you’re good there.
But, heads up—according to our research, the self-cleaning feature has its fair share of issues. Some folks have had ongoing problems with it, even after trying the troubleshooting tips from BISSELL or swapping their unit for a new one. So, if the self-cleaning feature is a big deal for you, that's something to consider.
On the bright side, people generally seem happy with how it cleans carpets, thanks to its strong steam function and multi-surface design.
But just know, those self-cleaning hiccups are real. It might be worth checking out what other users say or even looking at alternative models if you think this feature might be a dealbreaker for you.
If you run into persistent issues, BISSELL’s customer service could be helpful, but it might make sense to think about other options too.
