TLDR Review: Ziploc Quart Storage Bags
Verdict
If you're looking for a large quantity of reliable, everyday quart-size storage bags with a secure double zipper seal, these SC Johnson Professional Ziploc Storage Bags are a fantastic buy, especially for pantry and fridge organization. They strike a great balance between quality and value. However, if your primary need is heavy-duty freezer storage with extra-thick material, you might want to consider freezer-specific bags for that added durability. Overall, these bags provide classic Ziploc quality in bulk, making them ideal for frequent use and versatile food storage needs.
- Top pro:
- High quality and durable bags that can last over a year with regular use.
- Top con:
- Bags come loose in a large box rather than in smaller, more manageable boxes, which might be less convenient for some users.
Pros
- •High quality and durable bags that can last over a year with regular use.
- •Double zipper closure ensures a secure, reliable seal to keep food fresh.
- •Comes in an enormous bulk pack of 500 bags, offering excellent value for long-term use.
- •Bags are versatile and practical for a variety of storage needs in the refrigerator and pantry.
- •The material feels sturdy and resistant to tears or leaks, giving dependable protection.
- •Easy to write on the bags with a marker for clear labeling and organization.
- •Convenient bulk packaging, although bags are loose in one large box, making it easy to re-dispense using an empty tissue box or smaller container.
- •Identical in quality to the Ziploc bags widely found in stores, ensuring trusted brand reliability.
- •Suitable for use in freezing stews and other meals, despite the thinner material compared to thicker freezer-specific bags.
Cons
- •Bags come loose in a large box rather than in smaller, more manageable boxes, which might be less convenient for some users.
- •The material is a bit thinner than freezer bags, so some buyers note they might not be ideal for heavier or very wet freezer items.
- •Not explicitly designed for heavy-duty freezer use, so for freezing large quantities or sharp-edged foods, a thicker bag might be preferable.
