TLDR Review: Vice Golf PRO Soft Golf Balls
Verdict
The Vice Golf PRO Soft 2020 is a solid choice for ambitious golfers seeking a premium-feeling ball without the premium price. It excels in providing a soft but firm feel, excellent spin control, and durability, especially benefiting players with moderate swing speeds who want reliable performance and great visibility on the course. If maximum distance or ultra-soft feel is your top priority, you might want to explore other premium options, but for overall value and well-rounded play, this ball holds its ground confidently.
- Top pro:
- Soft feel that enhances comfort and control on every shot, especially appreciated around the greens for better spin and precision
- Top con:
- Slightly less distance compared to top-tier premium balls, which might be noticeable for higher swing speed players
Pros
- •Soft feel that enhances comfort and control on every shot, especially appreciated around the greens for better spin and precision
- •Durable 3-piece cast urethane cover resists scuffs, maintaining quality appearance over multiple rounds
- •Offers excellent value by delivering performance comparable to premium balls like the ProV1 but at a more affordable price
- •Provides good distance, particularly suitable for golfers with slower swing speeds (around 105 mph) or older players
- •Stops quickly on the green, giving great control for short game shots
- •Vibrant neon colors (NEON RED and White) make these balls easy to spot on the course, including fairways and rough
- •Firm enough to provide solid feedback and spin, balancing softness with performance
- •Soft core design helps increase distance without sacrificing feel
- •Many users express high satisfaction and intention to repurchase due to the quality and reliability
Cons
- •Slightly less distance compared to top-tier premium balls, which might be noticeable for higher swing speed players
- •Can be difficult to track in the air despite good visibility on the ground, potentially affecting shot alignment during play
- •While durable, some users note the firmness may not suit those strictly seeking an ultra-soft feel
- •Performance is generally good for general play but won’t necessarily reduce mishits like bunker or water hazards
