TLDR Review: Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror Collection
Verdict
*Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror Collection [Blu-ray]* is a must-have for serious fans of classic horror who want to experience these iconic films in stunning 4K clarity, complete with rich extras and scholarly insights. While *Dracula*’s transfer has some flaws and the omission of *Bride of Frankenstein* is a missed opportunity, the overall visual upgrade and packaging make this a strong collector’s edition. If you’re looking specifically for the best *Dracula* presentation, the Blu-ray might still serve you better. For a more complete collection of the Universal monsters with top-tier restoration, watch for any future releases that might include the missing titles and consider pairing this set with prior Blu-rays to get the full spectrum of classic horror.
