TLDR Review: Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Headset
Verdict
The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Multiplatform Wireless Headset delivers exceptional audio fidelity, versatile noise cancellation, and a truly customizable experience packed into a sturdy, premium design. It's a strong contender for gamers seeking precise sound detail, long battery life, and multiplatform connectivity. However, be mindful of potential comfort trade-offs for longer sessions and occasional software hiccups like random shutdowns or settings not saving. If you prefer lighter, more consistently comfortable headsets with slightly stronger noise cancellation, you might also want to explore alternatives, but if outstanding sound and robust features are your priority, this headset is well worth the investment.
- Top pro:
- Exceptional sound clarity with powerful, punchy bass and detailed audio, great for hearing footsteps and distant in-game sounds.
- Top con:
- Ear cushions can cause heat and discomfort, leading to hot, sweaty ears during long sessions.

- •Dual swappable batteries offer continuous power with easy hot-swapping and battery life often exceeding the 12+ hour claim.

- •Feature-rich with a 10-band EQ and up to 10 custom presets adjustable through the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app on mobile and desktop.
- •Microphone quality is generally clear and precise, with S.M.A.R.T. TruSpeak boom mic technology reducing up to 97% of background noise.
- •Variable mic monitoring (sidetone) and remappable wheel/buttons offer personalized control over audio and communication.
- •Travel-friendly design with detachable boom mic, lay-flat earcups, and included velvet carrying pouch for easy portability.
Cons
- •Ear cushions can cause heat and discomfort, leading to hot, sweaty ears during long sessions.
- •The headset may feel heavy and exert strong clamping force, causing ear pressure or headaches if worn beyond four continuous hours.
- •Some users report that settings like monitor mode or noise cancellation do not consistently save between sessions.
- •Occasional automatic shutdowns interrupt gameplay, and firmware updates have not reliably resolved these issues.
- •Microphone quality, while mostly good, can be slightly below expectations for some users, and volume levels for mic monitoring could be louder.
- •Noise cancellation is effective but not as strong as in dedicated ANC devices like AirPods Pro.
- •Initial setup can be tricky if the batteries are completely dead upon first use.
- •Echo issues may occur if volume levels on the mic or headset are set too high.
- •Overall quality and software stability may feel mismatched with the headset’s premium price for some buyers.
- •The weight and clamping force trade comfort for durability and sound quality.
