TLDR Review: TCL 55QM7K 55-Inch QLED TV
Verdict
The TCL 55-Inch QM7K QLED 4K Smart TV brings premium features like QD-Mini LED, Dolby Vision IQ, and a high refresh rate for gaming at an accessible price, making it a strong competitor to pricier OLED sets. It excels in picture brightness, color accuracy, and sound immersion, combined with smooth, convenient Google TV and Alexa smart features. If wall mounting aesthetics or wide viewing angles are key priorities for you, consider that mounting may cause slight tilt and that OLEDs still have an edge there. Overall, this model delivers excellent value for users seeking a versatile, high-performance 55-inch smart TV with impressive gaming and streaming capabilities.
- Top pro:
- Picture quality is excellent, rivaling high-end TVs like LG OLED with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and exceptional crispness thanks to QD-Mini LED technology.
- Top con:
- Some early units reported issues such as random restarts and occasional buzzing on heavier bass, though these appear resolved in later units.

Cons
- •Some early units reported issues such as random restarts and occasional buzzing on heavier bass, though these appear resolved in later units.
- •The official VESA mount causes a slight forward tilt at the top due to side-mounted power and inputs, which may affect wall mounting aesthetics.
- •Viewing angles, while good for typical seating, are not as wide as OLED TVs, meaning side viewing could see some color and brightness shifts.
- •The local news options on the TCL TV+ app are limited, which might disappoint users relying on local broadcast content.
- •While excellent overall, the TV may not fully match the pure black levels and viewing angles of OLED technology.
