TLDR Review: Soundcore P30i Earbuds
Verdict
The Soundcore P30i earbuds pack a punch with strong noise cancelling, powerful bass, and an exceptionally long battery life wrapped in a comfortable, stylish, and compact design. They deliver great value for users who want solid everyday wireless earbuds with reliable performance and useful features like a phone-stand case and app customization. However, if your priority is pristine audio clarity or perfect ANC sealing, or you want more physical security features for your earbuds, you might want to explore other options. For a well-rounded affordable ANC earbud that’s easy to use and versatile, these are definitely worth considering.
- Top pro:
- Comfortable, secure fit with a near air-tight suction feel that stays put even during workouts
- Top con:
- Sound quality occasionally marred by minor static or low-grade hiss/scratchiness, particularly noticeable during spoken word content like audiobooks
Pros
- •Comfortable, secure fit with a near air-tight suction feel that stays put even during workouts
- •Effective noise cancellation, especially for low-frequency sounds like engine hum and crowd noise
- •Impressive sound quality with powerful bass that many users found better than some premium competitors like Beats or AirPods
- •Long battery life, offering about 6-7 hours per bud and up to 45 total hours including the charging case
- •Bluetooth 5.4 connection is reliable with minimal disconnects and easy setup through automatic pairing
- •Handy 2-in-1 charging case also doubles as a phone stand, adding convenient functionality
- •The companion Soundcore app provides customization options for ANC modes (On, Off, Automatic) with audible chimes for mode switching
- •Call quality is clear with effective noise filtering on the microphone
- •Compact, stylish design in green and powder blue options with a subtle, lightweight feel
- •Ability to use each earbud independently and switch between them for extended listening sessions
Cons
- •Sound quality occasionally marred by minor static or low-grade hiss/scratchiness, particularly noticeable during spoken word content like audiobooks
- •ANC sealing could be better due to fit issues; large ear tips are good but XL tips for a more snug seal are not available
- •Automatic ANC mode triggers mainly in steady noise environments (e.g., airplanes) and may not adapt well to all noisy situations
- •Volume control is convenient but can feel a bit quiet for some users
- •No physical alert or tracking feature to help find lost earbuds, which may be a drawback for the forgetful
- •For audiophiles, audio fuzz might be a dealbreaker if you want ultra-crisp sound clarity
- •Occasional need to re-pair Bluetooth on each use, though it's a quick process
- •Noise cancellation less effective against high-pitched or irregular background sounds
