TLDR Review: Shark HydroDuo Stone Metallic Floor Cleaner
Verdict
The Shark HydroDuo with Dirt-Reveal Technology is a convenient, lightweight option for cleaning small to medium hard floor areas—especially useful for quick daily touch-ups and homes with pets. Its standout features are the controlled solution dispensing and the clever dirt-revealing blue light, which help ensure you don’t miss spots. However, don’t expect a heavy-duty deep cleaner: its weak suction, small dirty water capacity, and modest battery life mean it performs best when preceded by a thorough vacuum or sweep. For larger spaces or deeper clean needs, consider pairing it with a dedicated vacuum or exploring higher-power options to avoid frustration. If you want stronger suction and a more effective all-in-one experience on hard floors, you might want to look into other Shark models specialized for powerful suction—though this unit shines for its ease of use and quick mop-and-scrub cycle.
- Top pro:
- Controls solution amount effectively for efficient cleaning, avoiding over-wetting floors.
- Top con:
- Suction is weak and does not effectively pick up debris; it often just pushes dirt around.

- •Mop may leave streaks and drag dirty water, resulting in less-than-perfect cleaning results.
- •Struggles near edges and corners, missing debris in those spots.
- •Battery life is limited, reducing continuous cleaning time on larger areas.
- •More effective to vacuum or sweep floors before use; the device alone is not sufficient for deep cleaning dirt.
- •Using the combined vacuum and mop feature can feel frustrating and less hygienic than separate cleaning.
- •Difficult to clean the device thoroughly, which may contribute to an unsanitary feel over time.
- •Underwhelming performance on hard floors compared to other models from Shark or competing brands.
