TLDR Review: Scotts
Verdict
If you have a southern or Texas lawn (excluding St. Augustine grass), Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Food - SummerGuard with Insect Control is a solid choice to get greener, thicker, and healthier grass while also controlling bugs and conserving water in hot weather. However, if your lawn is primarily St. Augustine grass or you're after guaranteed results on that variety, this might not be the best fit. For those needing an effective lawn food with insect control and without weed killers, this product hits the mark nicely.
- Top pro:
- Delivers noticeable lawn thickening and greening within about a week to three weeks.
- Top con:
- Less effective on St. Augustine grass, with some users reporting poor results.
