TLDR Review: Samsung Q8F QLED TV
Verdict
The Samsung Q8F 4K QLED Vision AI Smart TV offers an excellent step up in picture quality with a stunning 4K QLED display, great color accuracy, and smart features that fit well in most households. Be prepared for a bit of a learning curve with the new remote and menu system, and watch out for its ultra-sensitive remote that can be easily triggered accidentally. The oddly spaced mounting holes may require careful consideration if you're looking for specific stands or mounts. Overall, this TV is a strong choice for users prioritizing picture quality and smart features, but if you're concerned about remote design or mounting options, keep an eye out for alternatives or consider pairing it carefully with your existing soundbar setup.

Cons
- •Remote is overly sensitive and can register accidental inputs easily, requiring careful placement away from cushions or hands to prevent unwanted channel or menu changes.
- •The small size of the remote makes it easy to misplace or lose.
- •The solar-powered remote lacks a “previous channel” button, which is a step back from earlier Samsung remotes and frustrates some users.
- •Mounting holes on the back are unusually narrow (8.5 inches apart) for a 50-inch TV, potentially causing compatibility or stability issues with some stands or wall mounts.
- •Setup and menu navigation can be confusing initially due to changes in the interface compared to older models.
- •Some users find sound control on the remote inconsistent or "wonky," and multiple remotes (Samsung plus streaming devices) don't always communicate smoothly with each other.
- •Built-in apps and AI features may be underutilized, with some users finding them unnecessary or difficult to access.
- •Online support relies heavily on AI chat, which some users find less helpful than human assistance.
