TLDR Review: Samsung 24" Essential S3 Curved Monitor
Verdict
The Samsung 24" Essential S3 curved monitor is a solid pick if you want a sharp, immersive Full HD display with a smooth 100Hz refresh rate at a great price. It’s ideal for those wanting a comfy mix of work and gaming without breaking the bank—but don’t buy it expecting built-in speakers or ultra-premium features. If sound integration is a must, you might want to consider a monitor with built-in audio options instead. Otherwise, this one delivers fantastic value, easy setup, and eye-friendly viewing in a sleek, curved design.
- Top pro:
- The Full HD 24" curved screen (1800R) delivers crisp, clear, and sharp picture quality with great color accuracy.
- Top con:
- No built-in speakers, so users need external speakers or headphones to get sound despite having audio controls and a jack.

- •The curved design enhances immersion, making it a nice upgrade for both work and entertainment once you get used to it.
- •Setup is easy and straightforward with HDMI and D-sub connectivity options, suitable for dual-monitor setups as well.
- •The monitor offers excellent overall performance and solid value for the price.
- •The volume controls and audio jack support audio output to external speakers, adding convenience despite no built-in speakers.

Cons
- •No built-in speakers, so users need external speakers or headphones to get sound despite having audio controls and a jack.
- •The audio jack only works as an output, not an input; volume controls adjust external audio output, which may confuse some buyers expecting integrated sound.
- •The curved screen design may require an adjustment period for some users who are used to flat monitors.
- •Some users might find the basic design and features limiting compared to higher-end monitors with more connectivity or advanced specs.
