TLDR Review: Rubbermaid Brute 32 GAL Trash Can
Verdict
The Rubbermaid Commercial Products Brute Rollout Trash Can delivers serious durability and ease of use in a well-sized, sturdy design perfect for restaurants, offices, or home use. Its large wheels and strong handle make handling heavy loads less of a chore, while the quality of construction ensures long-term value. However, if you need a tighter lid lock or the thickest plastic available, you may want to consider alternatives or add security measures. Overall, this bin strikes a great balance between ruggedness, mobility, and size, offering excellent bang for your buck.
- Top pro:
- Extremely heavy duty and durable, built to last much longer than typical commercial bins.
- Top con:
- Lid does not clip or snap shut tightly, so additional measures may be needed to keep it secure against rodents.
Pros
- •Extremely heavy duty and durable, built to last much longer than typical commercial bins.
- •Superior quality compared to standard waste company bins, offering excellent value by reducing trash pickup fees.
- •Sturdy with a strong handle and large wheels that make maneuvering effortless, even when full.
- •Made from durable, impact-resistant plastic that balances strength without unnecessary weight.
- •Smooth-rolling wheels handle curbs and rough terrain easily, maintaining mobility without sinking.
- •Convenient 32-gallon size fits typical garage or kitchen needs without becoming unwieldy.
- •The lid is hinged securely, staying shut against wind and small animals, providing some protection.
- •Compact size also means it's easier to clean the interior compared to oversized trash cans.
- •Sleek gray color blends well with most environments, offering a more subtle look than bright yellow or blue alternatives.
- •Highly stable construction resists tipping over during storms or in windy conditions.
Cons
- •Lid does not clip or snap shut tightly, so additional measures may be needed to keep it secure against rodents.
- •Plastic material, while sturdy, feels thinner compared to some other heavy-duty options, raising questions about long-term durability.
- •Wheels are currently secure but the long-term wear and tear are unknown, so time will tell if they hold up.
- •Some users find the 32-gallon size limiting if they need to handle larger volumes or commercial trash needs.
- •Although the bin is praised for durability, it lacks some premium locking or latching features found on higher-end models.
