TLDR Review: Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus (2021)
Verdict
The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus offers a solid package of bright floodlighting, reliable security features, and Alexa integration wrapped in a sleek, discreet design. It’s an excellent choice if you want an easy-to-install outdoor camera with powerful deterrents and smart home compatibility. However, if you prioritize crystal-clear video detail, pinpoint motion accuracy, or want to avoid subscription fees, consider looking at 4K security cameras or alternatives with lower latency and no mandatory cloud plans. Also, be ready to provide a strong Wi-Fi signal for optimal performance and brace for occasional false alerts due to sensitive motion sensors. If fine video details and faster alerts are a must for you, you might want to explore higher-resolution options beyond 1080p HD to get that extra visual clarity and responsiveness.
- Top pro:
- Easy DIY installation that typically takes less than 15 minutes, even for those with basic skills.
- Top con:
