TLDR Review: RESCUE Fly Trap
Verdict
The RESCUE Outdoor Non-Toxic Disposable Fly Trap is a top-tier choice for outdoor fly control, offering efficient trapping and a straightforward setup. However, its strong odor and the need for strategic placement mean it’s best suited for large yards away from living areas or outdoor events. If you’re looking for a no-fuss fly solution that lasts over a month and is safe around children and pets when used properly, this trap is worth considering. Just be prepared for the smell, and consider complementary sanitation practices for best results.

- •Contains a potent attractant that draws in flies quickly, leading to significant catch numbers
- •Designed for outdoor use, with the ability to trap flies over extended periods, often surpassing 30 days

Cons

- •Disposal involves sealing in plastic bags, which might be messy or unpleasant
- •The smell and dead flies may cause discomfort if placed too close to living or gathering areas
- •May attract young flies long after initial deployment, which could be seen as a constant presence rather than a temporary fix
- •Requires careful handling of the attractant to avoid irritation or spills, as it has a strong odor and can be harmful
- •Placement needs to be at least 75–100 feet from your home to prevent the odor from bothering indoor spaces
- •Not ideal for use during large outdoor gatherings or barbecues due to the smell and fly activity
- •Effectiveness can diminish in cold weather or if not maintained properly
