TLDR Review: Presto 02152 Digital Pressure Canner
Verdict
The Presto 02152 17-Quart Digital Pressure Canner is a smart choice for anyone serious about home canning who values precision, safety, and convenience. Its automation and safety features greatly simplify what used to be a high-maintenance process, making it especially attractive for beginners and those looking to save time. However, if you mostly water bath can quart jars or are sensitive to price and potential liner durability concerns, it’s worth weighing those pros and cons carefully before committing. For those wanting a simpler, perhaps less tech-reliant canner, consider classic stovetop pressure canners, but for digital convenience and consistent results, this Presto model hits the mark well.
- Top pro:
- Automates pressure and temperature control for a truly "set-it-and-walk-away" experience, removing much of the stress from home canning.
- Top con:
- The height limitation can restrict boiling water canning for quart-sized jars, which might disappoint users wanting full-size jar flexibility in water bath canning.
