TLDR Review: Philips Hue A21 LED Bulb
Verdict
The Philips Hue Smart 100W A21 LED Bulb is a top-tier choice if you want bright, tunable white light with smart home integration and voice control. It shines brightest—literally—in larger rooms where extra lumens matter, and its seamless compatibility with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit makes it a versatile addition to a connected home. Just be ready to invest in a Hue Bridge or ZigBee setup to unlock its full potential beyond Bluetooth, and factor in a premium price for premium features. If you want similar smart lighting but with a stronger emphasis on multi-color capabilities or slightly different tone options, exploring other Philips Hue variants might be worth it, but for warm-to-cool white ambiance and strong brightness, this one hits the mark.
- Top pro:
- Offers exceptionally bright light at 1600 lumens, making it a significant upgrade over standard 60W bulbs and suitable for larger or well-lit rooms.
- Top con:
- The color temperature can lean slightly toward yellow sunlight, which some users feel makes it more suitable for outdoor or warmer indoor lighting rather than a pure white tone.
