TLDR Review: Penny Dreadful: The Complete Series Blu-ray
Verdict
*Penny Dreadful: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]* is a must-have for fans of dark, Gothic storytelling, thanks to its superb performances (hello, Eva Green!), smart writing, and rich atmosphere. While the third season’s rushed ending and minor packaging flaws might frustrate some, the overall immersive experience and quality extras make this series worth owning. If you're craving a deeply layered horror saga that honors classic monsters with a modern flair, this set will satisfy. Just temper your expectations for season 3’s conclusion. If you want an equally atmospheric but more tightly wrapped Gothic horror experience, keep an eye out for other Showtime series or collections, but this remains a strong contender for dedicated fans.
