Pros

•The games are enjoyable and weleceived by children.
•Engages users for several hours with an average playtime of about 1 hour per game.
•Highly enjoyable for all family members, encouraging repeat play and daily requests.

Cons

•The newer model's soft foldable vinyl base pad is prone to slipping and sliding.
•The sliding issue affects the camera's ability to properly capture images.
•Cannot use an iPad with a case, limiting usability.
•Older version has a more stable hard mat that keeps alignment better with the iPad.
•Some limitations with the reflector capturing distant objects on the mat.
•Fails to read input letters correctly, causing frustration.

Bottom Line

The Osmo Little Genius Starter Kit offers engaging hands-on learning games for preschoolers, delighting both kids and families alike. However, some users have experienced issues with the newer model's base stability affecting gameplay. If stability is a concern, you might want to consider exploring other versions in the Osmo lineup that offer more robust base components.
